What is Bulk Update?
Bulk Update lets you personalise multiple transactions at once — saving you time when you want to categorise, tag, or include/exclude many transactions in one go.
Currently this feature is available only in iOS. It will be built in Android later.
On which screens can I perform 'bulk update transactions'?
Currently the bulk update transactions function is available in the Portfolio > Transactions list screen only.
It will be built for other screens a little later.
How do I use Bulk Update?
Go to your Transactions screen.
Tap Select
Choose the transactions you want to update.
Pick an action — for example, Categorise, Tag, or Include/Exclude.
Apply the changes and you’re done!
What actions can I apply using Bulk Update?
You can:
Change a category for multiple transactions.
Add or remove tags.
Mark transactions as Included or Excluded from insights or budgets.
Can I search and filter transactions, then perform bulk update for those transactions?
Absolutely yes.
We built the bulk update function that works perfectly with the Search and Filter function to help you manage your transactions easier.
Can I apply Bulk Update to future transactions?
No — Bulk Update only applies to existing (past) transactions.
If you want your changes to apply to future transactions, open a single transaction and use the “Apply to past and future” option instead.
Can I undo a bulk update?
Currently, there’s no “undo” button for bulk changes.
If you’ve updated by mistake, you can reselect those transactions and update them again individually or in bulk.
Will Bulk Update affect my budgets or insights?
Yes, if you change the category or include/exclude status, your budgets and spending insights will update automatically to reflect those changes.
Can I select transactions from different accounts?
Yes, you can — as long as they appear in your Transactions list view together.
You can filter or sort by accounts, categories, merchants or date range or even tags to make selection easier.
Can I bulk update transactions that are pending?
Yes, you can.
But bear in mind: When a transaction is posted (authorised and processed) the category and bucket may be reset.
Why can’t I see the Bulk Update option?
Currently the bulk update transactions function is available in the Frollo iOS app version of 3.33.0 onward.
Please update your app to the latest version to enjoy this new function.
